Happy 1st Day of Spring!!!!!

Today I'm up an hour earlier, which is a little strange in itself! I'm used to it being light outside and it was DARK! I have no idea how Ian does it everyday... (he wakes up at 5:15!) Anyhow, I'm going to a conference at the Peoria Civic Center for all the teachers in Peoria County - that is going to be a lot of teachers!! It's from 8-1pm - and I just hope it's interesting! I'll bring my sketchbook, just in case :)

The doctor's appt yesterday went great - the heartbeat sounds good, and I'm measuring on target (26 inches - whatever that means! definitely not around the waist... hehe) The next time i go in is for the ultrasound in 3 weeks, and also a gestational diabetes test - where I have to drink very syrupy sugary drinks and they see how I respond - I'm afraid of that one! (I can't have too many sweets or I don't feel good) :/

The main conversation I had with the doctor is whether or not he'll be in town when I have my baby! He said there is always the possibility that we could induce if he was leaving right around my delivery date (say for the 4th of July) and I hadn't delivered yet... But he didn't know what his schedule was, so it was all speculation :)

Anyhow, have a great day, everyone! And thanks, Mary, Dad, and Jill for leaving comments once in a while - I LOVE the comments! And... I did set it up so everyone can make them... hint hint! hehe
Love
Laura

Laura, I so enjoy hearing about your baby journey! I am so very happy for you both! You will be amazing parents and Baby Bally will be blessed to have such a fun and loving family. Don't worry, we're still working on a list of names for you, after all it is only fair that we get some say in the naming of your child. Look what Ian did to poor Noah! I continue to remember you all in my prayers and I know the job situation will turn out for the best! Take care and God bless!

OK, OK! I got your hint! I love reading your blog, and it's something I look forward to every day. Well, spring is finally here, but no one told Mother Nature 'cuz it's still cold. But down in her St-Louie-land, all the trees are budding (my magnolia is in bloom already!), so we're getting there faster than the north part of the state. My daffodils are all up and cheery looking. I just hope there's no hard freeze coming. That would make me sad. :( Have a great weekend.

Thanks for sharing your "baby journey" with us - I hope you continue blogging when baby arrives. You'll love looking back on all of these journal entries someday - I do! Have fun nesting and preparing for baby. Time goes so quickly, even if you don't think it does! You'll actually miss having that little person inside of you in a few weeks. Don't worry about the doctor delivering - at that time you really won't care as long as baby is healthy! Personally, I would never want to induce for convenience because I've heard labor is so much worse with pitocin, but that is totally a personal decision. We miss you, but are SO glad we can keep up with you through your blog! Love you!
